Did you know that studies led by René Proyer, a psychologist at the University of Zurich, show that people who are playful appear to be better at coping with stress and have more flexible thinking?
While those who are playful may sometimes be seen as unreliable or are not taken seriously, Proyer found that “when looking for solutions to complex problems, they can easily change perspectives. This allows them to find unusual and novel solutions.”
Playfulness is also positively correlated with greater levels of physical activity and positive emotions.
In light of this, and with Men's Health Week and Father’s Day fast approaching, we give you: our favourite dad jokes that made us laugh and facepalm at the same time. But mostly facepalm.
